Wholesome Fun for Kids and Parents!

Evaluator Comments

Cat Chat, Volume One, "Mary Leads me Closer to Jesus" is a CD packed full of wholesome radio-show type programming for young Catholics. Cat Chat is appropriate for kids of all ages and parents soon find themselves immersed in the story, too. In Volume One, the Cat Chat team, led by their pet, Moses the Cat, discuss Mary's crucial role in the Catholic Church. "Mary Leads Me Closer To Jesus" includes many familiar Marian prayers and spiritual songs like Hail Holy Queen,The Lord Your God, Full of Grace, I wanna Say Yes, The Greatness of the Lord, Celebrate, Mary Joy of All who Sorrow, and Pray for Me and is completely orthodox to Catholic teachings. The storyline is easily followed by young children and Moses the Cat is funny as well as informative, making it a hit with older children.

My kids LOVE Cat Chat! I have previously reviewed "The Mass Comes Alive" and we were hooked on Cat Chat from then on! The songs are catchy and fun and the stories are interesting and hold my three boys' attention for the entire thirty minutes. We usually listen to the CDs on the way to Religious Ed classes and Mass and anywhere else we may go on a Sunday. As a parent, I love that Cat Chat is something wholesome and Catholic that holds thier attention and draws them closer to Jesus while opening thier hearts to the Mass before we get there.

I recommend Cat Chat for almost all Catholic children, but especially those age 6 to 12. They will easily follow the story and quickly begin singing along to the songs and prayers. Younger children would enjoy the songs but would probably not understand the background storyline.
