Evaluator Comments

How to Stay Catholic in College is a small book with plenty of useful information.  It only takes about 20 minutes, if even, to read thoroughly and grasp everything it is trying to tell you.  At first sight you may think "Wow, what a small book.  This can't possibly give me any useful information that I need to remain Catholic."  Once opening and beginning the read however you be amazed at the information it actually holds.  It goes through several areas that would lead you astray, and tells you how to avoid them.  It's small size also makes it easy for you to use it as a reference for when you actually encounter problems at college.   Going into college soon, this book pointed out how easily something I have been strong against before could grab me now that I will be on my own.  I am glad I read it.

Beginning with the crazy teachers and classes you will encounter, it explains easy ways to combat it.  Obviously you will have these teachers, but with a little bit of information to keep you on guard you will easily be able to find the light at the end of the tunnel.  It then moves on to other materialistic distractions such as drugs, internet, tv, video games, and relationships.  The book gives easy information on how to avoid these small things that can lead to big mistakes.  Last but not least it goes into detail on how you can grow in your religion.  College isn't only a time to avoid loosing your faith, it's also a great time to even grow stronger in your faith.  This small book has plenty of information your will find useful.

It is a little obvious who should have this book.  Anyone who is going to be, or currently enrolled in college, whether a standard college or Catholic University, should get this book especially if you have doubts.  It points out some obvious ways you could lose your faith and point out how crazy you would be if you happened to be lead astray.
