The 'Big Book': Fantastic Resource for the Parent Teaching the Faith
I love this book. The Big Book of Catholic Customs and Traditions for Children's Faith Formation
is just what this mom needs to teach my three year old about the Catholic faith. If you are like me, then you have all these great plans to teach the faith in these really creative and exciting ways.... but when push comes to shove you just don't know how to go about it.
That's where the 'Big Book' comes in. The book has practical and entertaining activities for kids of all ages. It is separated by months and has an additional 'anytime' section as well. It provides pictures (I am such a visual person) and the instructions are totally manageable. My three year old has really enjoyed the projects we have done so far and I know we will use it for years to come because as she gets older I can utilize some of the options differently. Saints, customs, prayers, and general information that I would forget to share on a daily basis is what you can hope to find in this book. Additionally, it would seem that most of the activities are very manageable in the finance department. Everything you may need you probably already have anyway.
I tried to tag all the activities I wanted to do so I could easily reference them and I found out that tagging an entire section probably isn't going to be that helpful for browsing! Ha!
So enjoy the 'Big Book'.... because your kids will too.
