What does it cost to become a Tiber Ambassador?

 

When you sign up to become a Tiber River Ambassador we want you to be happy about your decision. Things like hidden fees and unexpected costs tend to do the exact opposite. To that end, we wanted to be completely transparent about what you will need to pay if you choose to sign up to become a Tiber Ambassador and have listed all of the required costs below. If you have any questions about any of these costs, please contact our Happiness Team.

 

    • First things first, the kit. This is purchased by you during the enrollment process online. We typically have a few different options to choose from depending on the level of investment you want to put in however, kits generally start at around $49.00. These are subject to change from time to time and vary depending on catalog season.

 

    • Next, we need a way to pay you the commission you will earn each month. In order for that to happen you need a Hyperwallet account. You will receive an email after your first commission payment prompting you to set this up and it will cost $10.95 USD. This is a fee paid annually, similar to banking fees, to Hyperwallet directly.

 

    • Finally, if you reside in either Manitoba, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island you will require a direct sellers license from the provincial authority in order to sell Tiber products. In Manitoba the cost is $55.00. In New Brunswick the cost for a license is $35.00. In PEI the cost is $50.00.

 

How does the compensation plan work?

 

The following is intended to provide an overview of the Tiber River compensation plan and help you understand how commissions are calculated at the various rank levels. If you have any questions, please contact our Happiness Team at customerservice@tiberriver.ca.

 

 

Compensation Plan Terms Explained

 

Active


To remain a Tiber River Consultant, Consultants
must make a minimum of $200 in PV within four
(4) calendar months.

 

Qualifying


To be considered Qualifying for the purposes of the Compensation Plan a Consultant must maintain a monthly minimum of $250 in
Personal Volume (PV).

 

Title


The highest status ever achieved, regardless of whether a Consultant is being “paid-as” that Rank or not.

 

Rank


The status at which a Consultant’s Commission or Generation Bonus will be determined from month to month.

 

Paid-As Rank


Each Consultant is paid at the Rank for which they qualify during the calendar month (see “Rank” and “Title”).

 

Personal Volume (PV)


The compensable volume in dollars submitted by a Consultant.

 

Team Volume (TV)


All volume created in a Consultants downline, not including any Director’s or higher rank. When a Consultant reaches the rank of Director or above, they break away with their entire team and becomes their own team for purposes of calculating TV.

 

Group Volume (GV)


All volume created in a Consultants entire downline including all Director’s or higher.

 

Levels


All personally enrolled Consultants are referred to as being in your Level 1. When a Level 1 Consultant enrolls another Consultant, the new Consultant is now in your Level 2, and so forth.

Generation


When a Director or higher gets a new Director in their Group, this second Director breaks off and is considered in the “1st Generation” of the original Director’s Group. When this second Director (or higher rank), breaks a new Director, they are on the original Director’s “2nd Generation”, and so forth.
 
 
 
 

Is there a minimum amount of Tiber products that I need to sell?

 

Yes. In order to maintain an active status, as a Tiber Ambassador you need to sell at least $200.00 of Tiber products every four months.

 

Does Tiber have a 'fast start' program?

 

We do! We call it Tiber Trailblazers and it works like this:

As a Tiber Ambassador, do I receive any special discounts?

 

Generally the answer is no. As a Tiber Ambassador you will earn a 30% commission on everything you sell. This includes your personal purchases.

While we don't typically offer Ambassador special or discounted pricing, we do offer exclusive sneak peaks and access to products and materials available to our Tiber Ambassadors only through their own personal online shopping catalog.

 

When do I receive my commission payment?

 

We pay our Ambassadors commission monthly. Each year in December a payment calendar for the upcoming year is published in your back office. This calendar indicates when commission payments will be made in each of the following twelve months. Generally, commission payments are deposited into Ambassadors' Hyperwallet accounts within the first five business days of each month.

 

Do I have to claim the commissions earned on my Canadian income tax return?

 

Yes. Tiber River provides a T4A for commission earnings to Ambassadors who have earned more than $500 in the calendar year.

For taxation purposes, earnings noted on T4A's are calculated based on when you received the commission payment. Therefore your T4A will display earnings will display earnings from December through to November each year.

 

Can I "write off" my business expenses (deduct them against my commission earnings on my Income Tax return)?

 

Yes. This is the one of the great things about being a Tiber River Ambassador! You are running your own business!  

With that being said, while we know absolutely everything there is to know about soap, taxes really aren't our thing... We strongly recommend that you consult a tax professional in advance for advice about how this all works.

We also caution you that everyone's personal situations are different and that what works for some people does not always work for everyone.

 

Do I need a license to sell Tiber River products?

 

Maybe.

Depending on the Province you are in you may require a Direct Sellers License in order to be eligible to sell Tiber River Products. For additional information on provincial licensing requirements, please click here.

While not generally not applicable, we also recommend you review the specific business licensing requirements in your municipality.
